About W. Robert Patterson
In 1986 Mr. Patterson founded a specialized management and advisory consultancy to serve the energy and utility industry. His focus is on the concerns and needs of large industry and local communities in developing and managing energy conservation and renewable energy projects. In recent years, WRPA Services has focused on assisting public entities with the energy supply re-structuring of the electric and gas utility contracts and leveraging renewable energy incentive programs. Through Mr. Patterson’s work on new energy legislation and the "special contracts" which lower electricity and natural gas prices. he has helped his customers lower their energy costs.
Prior to founding WRPA Services, Mr. Patterson was manager of utilities and energy industry consulting for the Arthur D. Little Inc. management consulting firm. He has also served as a manager of business development for economic, financial and management consulting services for the engineering firm of Charles T. Main, Inc. and as a project manager in United Engineers and Constructors' Utility Services Group.
Mr. Patterson has a Master's Degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Engineering also from MIT. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
About Alex Robert Patterson
In 2005 Mr. Patterson joined WRPA Services adding over 10 years of accounting, IT, and finance management experience to WRPA Services portfolio. He has conducted the energy procurement process for several Towns and School systems in Massachusetts. He also manages WRPA Services Energy Management Information Services (EMIS) and Net Metering Credit (NMC) monitoring service which provides quarterly reporting, forecasting, and analysis of client energy usage and costs and the leveraging of solar renewable energy credits (sRecs).
Prior to joining WRPA Services, Mr Patterson focused his consulting services on the development and management of entrepreneurial ventures in the rapidly growing Boston business community. His services would include new venture management for owners/entrepreneurs, CFO/Controller and Operations Manager. In this business his clients spanned a variety of industries including professional service & design, research and development, and manufacturing in both chemical and athletic products.
Mr. Patterson has an accounting and finance background having worked in both publicly traded and privately owned companies. Mr. Patterson received his bachelors from The College of Wooster and his MBA from Babson’s F.W. Olin School of Management.
